Bear Medicine holds the powers of healing, introspection, self knowledge, herbal medicines, rebirth, dream, intuition, strength, healthy empowerment, protection, wisdom, harmony and balance.
Many European and Indigenous American cultures have held ceremonies and practices to honor and align to the wisdom of Bear Medicine including: the Saami, Diné, Lakota, Ojibwe, Basque, Magyar (Hungarian), Siberian and Mansi (Voguls) among many others. Quite commonly Bear is honored in January/February or at the hail of spring. Some of these practices and ceremonies especially in Europe have been lost or forgotten to Colonialism.
This ceremony has been birthed because Bear has visited Angela during Dreamtime and shared guidance to revitalize Bear Ceremony each year around this time.
Join us together in Sacred Ceremony as we journey to connect with the Beautiful Medicine of Bear to support ourselves, families, communities and all living beings to receive healing wisdom for any matter of challenge or suffering.
Please bring a small bundle of any organic or foraged herbs. You may choose to also bring an item for the altar representing what you are calling to receive healing for, or a small offering or a drum/rattle as you wish. If your offering is in the form of song, prayer, story etc, please reach out to Angela (angela@solrose.love) ahead of ceremony.
